Small group puppy play & socialization classes in San Diego
Specially designed for puppies 8 weeks to 15 weeks old!
Project Puppy: Play and Socialization Add-On Class
This class is specially created for puppies who are 15 weeks old and under. We’ve created a safe space for these young puppies to spend extra time learning to play appropriately while they are exposed to all sorts of new things that will help them become resilient companion dogs when they grow up.
Puppies will be positively exposed to things that are common sources of fear in adult dogs, and our human students will learn to read their body language as well as learn the best ways to support their puppy in a variety of social situations.
This class can be added onto your Puppy Power: Puppy Foundation Class registration on a weekly basis until your puppy is over 15 weeks old.
Once you’re enrolled in Puppy Power: Puppy Foundation Class, let your instructor know if you’d like to add this class to your enrollment!
Open enrollment - Start when you’re ready!
You can register on this page to start puppy class any week there’s an opening. The lessons your puppy learns about socialization and new situations before they are 3 months old can make a big impact on their future, so we provide an opportunity for puppies to start as soon as possible. You can read the American Veterinary Society for Animal Behavior’s position statement on early socialization by clicking here.
Age & vaccine requirements - over 8 weeks, under 16 weeks
On their class start date, puppies should be at least 8 weeks and under 16 weeks. They must have had a visit with your veterinarian, been dewormed, be following a proper vaccination schedule, and at least 10 days must have passed since their first core vaccine was given. They do not need to be fully vaccinated in order to start our class.
Enroll for weekly, consecutive class meetings until your puppy is 15 weeks old.
Work with your instructor to choose the available dates you can attend while your puppy is between 8 weeks old and 15 weeks old. At 16 weeks old, they will age out of this class.
Small, indoor classes
We accept up to six puppies in class so you get plenty of individual support while you and your puppy are learning.
Support your puppy’s development & socialization
This class focuses on positive exposure to new people, puppies, surfaces, sounds, and all sorts of things!
It also helps puppy parents learn to accurately read their puppy’s body language and learn how to support their puppy in a variety of ways.
And, we provide help with common puppy topics like biting, chewing, potty training, and crate training. Some students say it’s like puppy parent therapy!
